This five-day trip in and around Dhaka will allow you to explore the city’s new, old, and neighborhood areas, as well as a day trip to Sonargaon, the brass artisan village in Dhamrai, and some ancient and contemporary architecture. You can spend a couple of days walking on the street, taking pictures, meeting friendly people, exploring local craftsmanship and the recycling industry, and trying delicious foods. Our expert tour guide prefers to give you more cultural engagements rather than pointing out tourist spots. This trip will drive you through the deeper perceptions of culture; the streets and places are not yet mentioned in any travel guide. Walking through the heritage and chaotic habitation would give you an experience that you had never thought of!

Dhaka; the of city life, and of course, our playground

The world considers today’s Dhaka as a chaotic and densely populated city; maybe the density is her strength, and chaos is the rhythm of life. Dhaka has an exciting history and rich cultural heritage. Dhaka city still has a name for its exotic culinary and cuisine. Royal Bengal Tours welcomes you to explore this chaotic town to earn a unique and unforgettable memory.

An excursion to the Liberation War Museum and National Museum will increase the understanding of the culture and history of this country.

The National Parliament Building is the most notable modern building in Bangladesh. Bold geometrical patterns and monumental architecture is very typical of Louis I Kahn – the world-famous American architect. A visit inside of this building is a unique experience for general tourists as well as for architects. Bangladesh shows an enormous body of architecture from different periods, which the world has not discovered yet. Royal Bengal Tours is the pioneer in establishing some unique “Architecture tours of Bangladesh” in collaboration with the Swiss Architecture Museum (S AM) for the first time in the country.

A day excursion to the first capital Sonargaon is a great treat. For someone interested in local artisanship, a trip to the pottery village to see these local artisans of Bengal and also see the people working with brass metal- creating their beautiful artwork will surely uplift your spirit. A trip to Bangladesh is incomplete without a river cruise and seeing the primitive life around the delta.

You may leave the choices up to your guide & driver to unbox their secretes and decide best as per your main points of interest and considering the traffic.

    An amazing adventure

We cannot thank our wonderful guide Jewel enough for taking us into deepest, darkest downtown Dhaka to show us everyday life. We had seen things that would not have been possible without a knowledgeable guide. A charming place and people, it would have been nice to spend a few more days exploring the city as the traffic and congestion makes it very difficult to get around with any speed. An excuse to come back one day!

Whether you go on tour with Jewel or Tuhin, whether you visit Dhaka or elsewhere in the country, you can trust this company 100 %. Guides are knowledgeable and they will go a long way to satisfy you. Went on a full 3-day tour in Dhaka and around which gave me a great insight and understanding of the capital and the country. Museums, shopping, strolls in the countryside, craftsmen, monuments, boats, river, streets, bazars, church-mosque-temple, parks… nothing were amiss.
I truly had the best of time and now feel completely in love with Dhaka, despite its negative aspects (i.e : traffic and pollution).
If you have a specific querry or any particular need you can be sure Jewel and his team will answer it with grace and kindness. I will certainly use Royal Bengal Tours services when I go back to Bangladesh.

    A First Class Tour Operator!
    Oct 2018 • Solo
I just returned from a brief trip to Dhaka, where I spent two full days touring the city with Mittu (sorry if I misspelled the name). It was a remarkable two days and I feel like I received an excellent introduction into Bangladesh with Royal Bengal Tours.

Dealing with Jewel prior to my visit was extremely easy and straightforward. He answered all of my questions very quickly and thoroughly, and made great suggestions in terms of what I should see. It was one of the most efficient “planning operations” I have gone through with a tour company and Jewel fully understood what I was looking for in my tour, which was a focus on street life photography, and made a great plan for my two days.

My guide was outstanding. He is a young, well-educated man with excellent communications skills and a very good grasp of English. He is quite sensitive both to my needs and to the people we were photographing during the tour, seemed to have a fantastic capability to sense what my interests were before I even communicated them to him, was extremely knowledgeable about all things Bangladeshi, and very flexible in terms of our itinerary and scheduled program. On top of all of this, he is a very pleasant guy and a pleasure to converse with.

I will definitely book any future travel to Bangladesh with Royal Bengal Tours, and heartily recommend them to anyone visiting Bangladesh, a truly fascinating country.

3 Days in and around Dhaka by Andy & Gerry from Bristol England

My wife and I had 3 days for our trip to Bangladesh before moving on to Myanmar. We asked Jewel to organise everything for us from start to finish and he did a fantastic job.
Our guide Shabbit was excellent and gave us a real insight into the everyday life in the capital city. Our drivers were also punctual and completely at home in the fearsome traffic. We hope to come back and do a longer trip and will tell all our friends what a great place Bangladesh is.
